Established in October 2011, Sadara Chemical Company is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Company. With a total investment of about $20-billion, Sadara is constructing in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, the world's largest chemical complex ever built in a single phase, with 26 world-scale, integrated manufacturing plants that will produce over 3 million tons of chemicals annually.

SASREF: "Pacesetting Performance"

Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company (SASREF), located in Madinat Al-jubail AI-Sinaiyah, Is acknowledged as an industry pacesetter and was specifically designed as an export refinery.

SASREF is dedicated to the highest levels of performance, safety, reliability and efficiency through its policy of technological enhancement and environmental concern. Great emphasis is placed on human resource development and SASREF is recognized throughout the industry for excellent training and the highest levels of technical competence.

Due to its prime location and superb terminal facilities, the primary export markets for SASREF products are the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.

SASREF processes Arabian Light Crude and natural gas for hydrogen production. A key feature is its centralized control room for the refinery. This state-of-the-art technology has significantly improved operational control of the refinery.

Currently, crude intake is averaging 305,000 barrels per day (b/d). Refined products output includes LPG (liquid petroleum gas), chemical grade naphtha, benzene, Mogas (Motor gasoline) component, dual-purpose kerosene, fuel oil, long residue and sulfur.

SASREF is a full conversion refinery at maximum crude intake as it includes HCU, VBU and a Thermal Gas-oil Unit (TGU).

These leading edge TGU/GT technologies further boosts SASREF's international competitiveness as a firmly established pacesetter refinery.

Importantly, SASREF's already high levels of energy efficiency have been enhanced further by minimizing greenhouse gas emissions as the refinery's electricity consumption has been reduced significantly.

SASREF applies rigorous external bench marking criteria to measure its performance levels as a world-class pacesetter refinery. This includes plant integrity, reliability and refinery maintenance to increase productivity and generate higher returns on SASREF's substantial investments.

Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd. (SAMREF) is an equally owned joint venture between Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) and Mobil Yanbu Refining Company Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation).
SAMREF is a complex refinery which was formed for the development, construction, ownership and operation of crude oil refining facilities in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. 91% is the percentage of Saudization

Following the construction and start-up of the facilities, it commenced operations on November 15, 1984 with processing of 263,000 barrels per day, KBD of Arab Light Crude Oil (design capacity) but through a continuous improvement of its facilities, it now processing more than 400 KBD.
